Pocket Pal, Twenty-Second Edition

Pocket Pal, Twenty-Second Edition

Since its debut in 1934, the Pocket Pal has been the authoritative introduction to the graphic arts for artists, graphic designers, publishers, advertisers, students and buyers of print.

For the twenty-second edition, Sylvamo partnered with a team of Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) students. Over the course of ten weeks, these students immersed themselves in the Pocket Pal with the goal of honoring its legacy while updating it to appeal to a new generation of graphic artists and printers.

With updated content, a new look and revamped navigation, the Pocket Pal is more useful than ever before.

I just retired a year and a half ago and figured this would be the last printing reference book I would buy. I have owned/ own several fantastic books that helped me through my 54 year career, but this is it. I promised my wife!
My, how things have changed.
I had to use a levigator on a piece of Kelheim limestone as a brief part of my lithographic apprenticeship at a UK printing college! It was regarded as a respect and deep learning for the process. Where did all that go? :(
This book is well laid out on a very nice quality paper. Easy to navigate, well designed and covers a lot of ground in an easy guiding manner. Congrats to the team! The industry looks to be in good hands.
